  1. Great photos! Photo 6 is a bombed-out tank? I thought it was your CAR (or perhaps mine). I'm glad to see that the camera is working well and surviving the dust and sand. You've got a good eye -- keep them coming!

  2. That "tank" is a BRDM-2; a cold-war era armoured car. 0-60 sucks, but the 14.5mm MG is great for crushing civil uprisings...

  4. Of course Ian is the first to ID the tank and come up with the best possible use. Some incredible scenery by the way, can't wait to see what you post next.

  7. Having a wonderful time riding with you. Headwinds on Harbor Island are bracing, sandstorms from the beach a challenge. Tush uncomfortable, doing nearly three miles a day. I feel your pain. Happy to know you are out of Egypt and safe. Joan Anne

  8. Am avidly keeping up by checking the TdA web site and have also added Chris's (from the US)to my list of favourites because he is able to post more than you are.

This trip is incredible! The things I want to know are: what's with the dead camels?; are you liking this or not?; is it everything you'd hoped for?; have you buddied up with anybody in particular?; are you spending money? (Remember my offer to float you a loan if you fall short).

They have a picture of you up on TdA. Glad to see you don't look sunburned. Your father says I'll have to find something else to nag you about. Was just glad to see you safe and sound.

    love and miss you, Mom
